Confidence is something like set of rules that needs to be learned. It comes from feeling of well-being and acceptance and believing that you can. It is not necessarily as “self-belief.” Belief in self comes through successful experiences.
“Confidence doesn’t come when you have all the answers. But it comes when you are ready to face all the questions.” Like when you are in the interview for a job, you probably do not know the questions that will be thrown to you. But at that point, you need confidence because it matters to the interviewee. Remember, just keep calm and trust yourself that you will be able to answer all the possible questions.
Ways to boost your confidence immediately:
Sit up/Stand straight – confidence can be seen through good posture. Keep your spine straight, relax shoulder and chin up.
Gratitude – stop thinking of the negative thoughts and experience and focus on your past successes, your abilities and positive experiences. It will boost your sense of self-confidence.
Calm down – seriously, when you are nervous there is this tendency that your voice goes up and you’ll talk faster than you ever think. Just take a deep breath and slow down. It’s normal to get nervous but you can manage it.
Dress sharp – clothes doesn’t make you a man/woman but it affects the way you feel about yourself. We tend to be more conscious on what our physical appearance appears to them. Wear clothes that you are comfortable to wear and you feel you look good.
Smile – smile is free. When you are to deal with situations don’t forget to wear your smile but wait a genuine smile is what I really mean.
